I wish I had been born white
....so I wouldn't break out after every time that I shave. My facial hair is so curly I get ingrown hairs that irritate my face and give me all these bumps. It's fucking painful at times. I have to let my facial hair grow for 2 weeks so the bumps can go away.

It's more of a problem with black men as far I know. The curly hair.

Black men tend to have razor bump problems because the body hair naturally curves back and re-enters the skin. This increases the chance that bacteria and fungus will grow on those now ingrown hairs. They will sit beneath the skin and cause more bumps and infections. |

Recently I got pressure at work to shave regularly. I was told that it wasn't professional looking even though several teachers in the building weren't shaving regularly either and they haven't changed their ways. But now that seems to have blown over and they haven't said anything more on it.

You need to exfoliate once a day and cleanse and moisturise before bed. It's partly a bacterial thing I think, if they're getting infected. Otherwise exfoliating should do it.
