Thumbs down bo dude

does this place get busy anymore? looks like most of the longtime posters finally left. I've been thinking about bolly's latest announcement and it makes me wonder what's going to sustain the community for much longer. If SP effectively quits touring and bill holes up in Chicago for the forseeable future and only plays once in a while, the online fan base is only going to keep dwindling. Just feels like that time, you know? netphoria quit netphoria.

from what i've seen in the past few days it's basically just sean, julio and trots still running this place. where have all the personalities gone? nobody laughs or gets up to ridiculous shit anymore, not even monte. 2000-2007/8 was an amazing time but it seems like interest has steadily dropped off since then. I think it's mainly because the Pumpkins reunion has been underwhelming and the new blood it's attracted to the board are typically younger and less worldly individuals than those of us who grew up in the modem age.

no by "running this place" I meant you were the only ones still representing. To the credit of everyone who left though, at least they felt they didn't have anything to prove by staying. They've all got lives and shit

and yeah I was wrong about julio, he just looms large in bumped threads

What are you doing in the real world these days man?

less than i was doing in 2002 even

i'm legally qualified as disabled and the government pays me to do nothing
people'll think i'm a welcher but it's surprisingly difficult to get government disability checks. i haven't left the house since february except for two hospital stays and my mom driving me to my social worker

it's not as fun as you would think and the government cheese goes mostly to my student loan and car insurance even though i don't even drive myself anywhere

livin' the dream man

i can relate

I suffer from being born with every conceivable advantage in life but somehow I became a depressed lonely nihilist who doesn't know what to do with himself and squanders his abilities for fear of rejection. Race you to the grave

Yeah I need to revise that. Hadn't watched anything of his in maybe a decade. Then I watched Clerks on netflix the other night and man what an awful piece of shit that movie is.

yeah
i think i might still like clerks if i watch it again
obviously the "30 dicks" or w/e stuff is gross but he does honestly write some hilarious dialogue
i wish i had never gotten so political sometimes
i mean obviously beserker is still funny. dated. but funny. you know what i mean

The soundtrack is the reason I know who jesus lizard is, so that's cool.

I do distinctly remember that the film is 90% Kevin Smith's internal dialogue. But pretty much anything that involves a woman is obviously written from the perspective of a self described nice guy.

Same goes for every other piece of shit he made really.

See it's been a long time since I've seen either of those so I don't remember the racially problematic shit. Remind me.
