At Guard:

TJ Ford
Gary Payton
Sam Cassell
Michael Redd

At Forward:

Desmond Mason
Anthony Mason
Tim Thomas

Now if the Bucks could only get a fucking center they WILL win the NBA championship next season at the latest.

If the Spurs aquire Jermaine O'Neal it's over for the rest of the teams. They have the ability to give him 10 million and who wouldn't want to join a team that just won the NBA championship?

Milwaukee Bucks trade Casell & E.Johnson to the Timberwolves for Joe Smith & Anthony Peeler.
--> espn.com

Joe Smith, just who a team gearing up to make a Title run was looking for.

Great trade for the Bucks and all but a lock that Payton will be back now, according to my sources from w/n the organization.

Got rid of all 2.2 points a game from EJ. Joe Smith immediately becomes our best front court player. Cassell is 4 years older than Smith, though admittedly he is a better player than Smith. But Smith is what we need.

Our 2003-2004 NBA Championship lineup now looks like a backcourt of: Payton, Redd, Ford, and Peeler, a true three-point specialist; frontcourt of Desmond Mason, Anthony Mason, and Joe Smith; and of course still no center unless you count the dynamic duo of Paul Prizbylla and Dan Gadzuric. Translation we will certainly represent the East in the NBA Finals. Depending on who comes out of the Western Conference, we ought to win us our first title since 74.

despite being stuck most of his career on a team with ball hogs like Garnett, Zerbiak, and that little short nigger whose name evades me, Smith has averaged 14 points and 7 boards throughout his illustrious career.

Alls I’m saying is the 96-97 Bulls need to be on notice that their 73-9 record is on the verge of being stricken from the history books.

You gizzed on Kobe's announcement he'll likely test free agent waters, only to do so just to raise his value and keep Jackson in L.A. so they can continue to spare the NBA to death with in-season drama?

If the Mavericks get Tarpley back and sign Mourning (and he can play a season in decent health), it'll be a race to the record.

This just in: Jordan may not buy the Bucks because he does not want to own the team who shatters his Bulls' single-season wins record.

i posted the night the Lakers were eliminated that he'd be testing things out. this is no surprise to anyone who's paid any attention. the team has to start building for Kobe Bryant, or there will be no Kobe w/ the Lakers.

All the talk around Milwaukee last year after we got Payton was basically “hey we’re just a Joe Smith type player away from an NBA title.” Now we have our Joe Smith type player. Peeler and Ford will offset the loss of Cassell. Can you say, “cha-ching.” Or how bout, “bling bling.”

I like the fact that Milwaukee has completely given up on the big three that took them to the eastern finals a few years back and now Ace thinks that they'll win the championship. What a joker.

What do Ray Allen, Glenn Robinson, and Sam Cassell really bring to the table anyway? (don’t say “roughly 72 points, 15 boards, and 12 assists per game”). That is not the correct answer. Honestly though, it was not the big 3 that were given upon. Management gave up on the way George Karl and the Big 3 got along and produced. Geogre Karl fucking killed this team. I despise him almost as much as I despise Norm Green, but not yet to that level.

At least they've gotten crap in return for the Big Three. TJ Ford was part of the Robinson deal. So was Toni Kukoc who I keep forgetting about. We get Joe Smith and Peeler for Cassell. And if we can keep Payton for Allen plus picking up Desmond Mason - fuck I'd rather have those 6 players than the big three. Yes this is not schtick - I would much rather have Desmond Mason, Gary Payton, TJ Ford, Toni Kukoc, Anthony Peeler, and Joe Smith than Big Dog, Cassell, and Allen. Who wouldn't.

all you need to know about the current state of the NBA is right here:
http://baboon.us/shaq.html

IMO, of the big 3 in the draft Darko may be the biggest dissapointment...the main advantage he has is playing in the center deficient Eastern Conference.
