I've had a few classes on him, and an instructor is p important in getting your feet wet. It might be a good idea to get yourself a book that introduces what he's trying to say. I mean you're a smart bro, but I can't imagine seeing ressentiment or what he calls priests/Jewish religions and understanding their true meanings as he intended.

The first time I heard of him was in a book about philosophy in The Simpsons that introduced some of his concepts.

Nietzsche's got such beautiful, flowery language that I really loved reading him more than anyone else.

Like, there are some passages in here that read clear as day and I'll be like "oh snap, I've heard this before. So it is neat to see the origin of some now-popular thought.

I'll look for it. I'm on The Antichrist right now, which is basically the only philosophy I have read (unless you count new atheism which is to imply that I don't really.)

i know exactly what you mean about philosophy books making you feel dumb. i've read books on theoretical physics and quantum mechanics with few comprehension issues, but i've tried to read some books by nietzsche, hegel, and spinoza and they totally go over my head. what really gets me is that i'll read a paragraph comprised entirely of elementary school level monosyllabic words and still be like the fuck did i just read.
