Exclamation Terminator 3 anticipation thread

I've been a fan of the Terminator series since I was about 10. Although I have mixed feelings about a third movie, I know it's a formula that works, and who knows, maybe they'll throw in some new twists? I do, however, consider the movie to have two strikes against it, namely, no James Cameron and no Linda Hamilton.

But we'll see soon enough if the $170 million they spent on this flick was put to good use. And at least it's rated R, unlike early reports of it being rated PG-13.

And besides, Kristanna Loken is HOT.

And whoever votes for the last option needs to have a musical shoved up their ass.

I heard it gets pretty twisty by the end. The non-Cameron makes me think it won't have much of a heart like the first two flicks had, but it'll be good for just some rock-em-sock-em robot action. And, if you think about it, if Judgement Day is 3 hours from comming, you wouldn't really have time to reflect upon the human condition anyway . . .

I have no interest in T3. But I saw Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des Loups) tonite and it ruled. I'm buying the DVD tomorrow.

I've seen the first Terminator but that was years ago, and I haven't seen Terminator 2 yet. Was it good enough to make another sequel? Didn't it come out a while ago too?

Terminator 2 and Aliens are two of the best kind of sequels out there. Just taking the original concept, knocking up the FX and action, but also letting the characters evolve and instead of simply reashing the first films, they take the idea to a different level but with enough nods to the first flicks to keep them grounded.

Basically that was a long-winded explaination that, yes, Terminator 2 is one super-good movie. With alot of character and a surprising amount of heart in it too. Its basically kind of like "Its A Wonderful Life", but with guns.

Negative. John knows who he is. The Terminator, however, does not. There's a scene where John is like "Don't you remember me? Sarrah Connor? Blowing up Skynet? 'Hasta La Vista baby?' " The Terminator replies with a terse "Negative." John sighs with "They must make you guys on an assembly line or something." " Correct."

When I first heard about this all I thought was "No James Cameron means its CRAP" but its been slowly looking and sounding better and better as the release nears.
