Default Insomnia Hell Thread

I used to make sudokus, but that's a sure way to keep me from sleeping even longer.
Masturbating is too exhausting, so after rolling around for hours I just sit on the PC and pretend I use the time to do something for work and end up skimming through all sorts of shit I never wanted to know.
Tonight I learned that Bieber's monkey got abandoned.

What are all of you sleep deprived fucks doing when it hits?

I've been suffering from a nasty tinnitus in my left ear for the past few weeks, which keeps me up for hours.
I usually read a lot (I feel asleep ready A Clash Of Kings last night) or listen to some podcasts. Old Simpsons episodes on random also help a lot.

Is "Bieber's monkey" a euphemism for something?

Sadly it's not. The little guy is quarantined in Munich.

My body has been doing weird things to my sleep cycle. I get really tired at night, but can't get to sleep until around 12am to 3am. I wake up at about 6am to 8am most days feeling tired as fuck but I can't get back to sleep so I get up and do stuff.

I haven't had a good night's sleep in months. twice this week I've woken up at 4am. By mid morning I'm exhausted. I've tried nyquil, melatonin and codeine. they all get me to sleep, but I don't last more than 5 hours.

I usually sit at my computer, but i don't look at much. mostly just stare a the screen. Today I went to a 24 hr grocery store and did some shopping.

I've been taking a homeopathic vitamin supplement thing to get me to sleep which is something i'd never considered before but it works pretty good. Glucose tablet with Capsicum, cahmomle, coffea, gelesmium, humulus, hsocyamus, passiflore and veleriana (i have no idea what those are) half an hour before bed and i'm off within 10 minutes.

Homeopathic, eh? Hm. I guess it's better than sleeping pills?

I think all my years in school, coffee, captain crunch, and pulling all nighters has ruined my sleep patterns. :/

man i had it bad last week. i get it about every 3 months my entire life...

weed's always good- even if it doesnt put you to sleep you're chilled out and not trying to be productive when it's just not possible.
walks- can't really do that here. this city's not the safest place at night.
chatting online with my friends back home since it's a good timezone swap
masturbation
law and order svu

sometimes white noise really helps me. i'll throw on something ive watched a million times on my laptop in bed and pretty much just roll over and listen to it until i fall asleep.

i have ambien but it doesnt do shit for me.

oh and i still sleep with my security blanket :x i've taken it absolutely everywhere my entire life. it's seen better days but i have no plan to get rid of it. ever. i've only washed it twice since high school. and if you're going to tell me this is why i can't get girls, you can go ahead and go fuck yourself.

Obviously I don't need to tell you this man, but this is no fucking good.

Have you talked to a doctor? Sleep is life's most important thing. My daughter was super tough from the time they cut her out of my wife until she was about 6 or 7 months old -- didn't nap much, didn't sleep much in the night, etc. Cried a lot. Sleep deprivation, especially over long periods of time, will do fucked up things to your brain. I'd me making dinner (totally exhausted) and just start staring at the knives in the butcher's block and my mind would drift to bad places. I'd snap out of it and have a cold sheen of sweat on my face.

Oh Jesus, that sucked. Thank God, she's sleeping much better and has been for about 18 months now.
