I talked to my parents about discussing anti-depressants with my doctor again. I've had a few really good days in the last weeks, but if I have a "normal" day the next day I feel depressed and unable to enjoy my own company no matter what I do.

A similar thing happened when I was camping with my family earlier this year. Because we're all getting older, the older folks are no longer coming because it's too much trouble to go to and the younger folks aren't coming because their lives are getting busier with jobs and study. I was listening to Joy Division and reading Touching from a Distance a lot around that time.

Today is a "normal" day but I'm feeling pretty fine, probably because I've been productive. Yesterday was a relatively productive day and I was feeling great until the late afternoon/evening, when I had nothing to do and couldn't secure any opportunities to meet anyone, so I spent my Saturday night alone.

yeah it's one of those things, i've fought against medication for most of the last ten years but i've come to realize that i've wasted most of that feeling sorry for myself and unable to face the day precisely because i wasn't taking a mood stabilizer.
