Yeah I have. Actually I've heard about it a lot because my grandfather is a theology professor e meritus whose area of specialty was Old Testament Studies. He actually taught Hebrew to Jewish people in my home town. He's travelled to every single country in the Middle east, mist of them several times and he led tours annually in the Holy Land. He wrote a series of lectures in 2001 called Who Owns the Holy Land and they were printed as a small book. He's had quite a number of books published actually. So yeah. I have heard of the Jewish Diaspora.

But go on, vomit away. Honestly I don't care what you think.

What your grandfather did isn't really the point. YOU managed to end up comparing the situation to South Africa, and stating "the Jews needed homeland because they had nowhere to flee". If you were familiar with the first Jewish diaspora, you might realize how ridiculous that sounds. Or maybe not. Since you are obviously Jewish and still...you are right. Puking is the better option.

I'm not Jewish and neither is my grandfather. And yeah Jewish people were in a lot if places but somehow a good many Jews remained trapped in Germany and were executed. Not sure if you know about the holocaust or not. I think the idea was that if they had a homeland of their own, more of them would have been able to leave. You know, like the huge numbers that were gassed or shot, for instance.

And I do love the bible but I don't think there's anything in it that justifies the establishment of the political state of Israel as it exists today.

And I think the comparison with Sourh Africa is fine. You maybe don't know enough about the recent history of both those nations to really comment, idk. I think they're pretty similar.

I was kind of step parent to a bird for about 8 months. The person that got him just surrendered him to a bird rescue today, and it's now on its way to Maryland to a new family. I feel like it shouldn't have happened and that the bird should still be here. I don't like committing to animals then "getting rid" of them because of superficial reasons. I know it wasnt my choice completely, but I feel guilty and miss him a lot.
