One of the things I hate about facebook is seeing one or two of my friends write " my life is so amazing" "My boyfriend/fiance/husband is awesome" or all of the other bullshit.

i don't miss facebook but for one reason: being invited to social gatherings. other than that, it has only left people wondering what i'm up to. everything negative about it, the gossip, slander and self pity... it's a blessing to be away from.

i only have one friend who pity parties all the time but i do like her, she's an online friend that i've known since i was like 11 and got back in touch with at around 20 after i came back to earth. she's a redhead so she's always posting redhead related memes and shit like that

i did this almost a year ago. i had a facebook and google+ account that i deleted a few months after i had removed all my photos, tags, etc. i just find i have very little to do on the internet and so i spend more time watching movies and nobody ever really tries to contact me. it's isolated me a lot but i wasn't all that social to begin with.

my dad wants me to join facebook again because all my family uses it, i never call anyone and they never call me. i don't really want to. i hope one day it motivates me to start keeping an address book and actually caring about hearing news and having conversations with my family.

i feel like this, i wouldn't do facebook you know if people want to stay in contact with you why can't they be bothered to make an effort? you feel me? they even tell you "I want you to be on Facebook because it's so easy to stay in touch." I mean maybe it would be nice if you actually had to try to stay in touch... but it is a two way street so at the end of the day it is your/my fault for not bothering to stay in contact with people too.

I still use facebook sometimes but I'm finding even the social invitations i don't really give a fuck about anymore either, because the people who actually seem to enjoy my company actually contact me anyway.
