but i can hardly imagine how he could lose the popular vote with 300 electoral college votes

that's not even relevant. if there were no electoral college, the campaign would look completely different.

and he'll win the popular vote anyway. but if there were no EC, Obama would campaign in NYC, Chicago, and LA and the GOTV efforts would be enormous there. He would win going away without the EC.

i thought that was actually a pretty good concession speech. no complaints. other than the fact i can't believe anything coming out of his mouth.

i told you guys a while back romney had zero shot he is almost a cartoonish example of the american plutocrat and in this climate that's just a lightning rod for the economy because i think this election shows that america seems not to be entirely fooled by the republicans crying about how obama ruined the economy

i think most people are very aware of who ruined the economy and it's guys like romney

i do still kind of think that a real moderate republican would have trashed obama even if it would have probably caused a tea party revolt, and possible 3rd party candidate. i dunno...it just seems to me that a moderate republican that was secular and had an actual plan for fixing the economy that wasn't "moar tax cuts lol" could have tagged and bagged this dumb guy but this country sucks

but i'll take moving sideways over moving backwards. lets just stop with the drone strikes and assassinations w/o trial and maybe go on the offensive against wall street.

but I'm represented by Bernie & Liz so I'm okay.

I called it way back when all 10 or whatever republican nominees were solidified. They'e all gigantic fucking losers, Romney win the nomination, and still lose to Obama

I cried. the most powerful speech he has ever given. I don't know how he is capable of it, but everything I dislike about him just becomes... it goes away when he talks like that. I believe the things he says. Maybe he is the antichrist

i didn't cry. i'm still fairly disillusioned. but i'm still very happy he won. and i wish he had a house to work with.

still hoping for 4-0 on the gay marriage front. that would be fucking HUGE.

i disagree for many reasons far beyond who is president

i mean we're still drifting sideways instead of going in reverse, which i will grant is a net good (i suppose), but lets keep in mind that nothing really significant changed tonight. the repubs still have a large majority in the house, the dems have a slim majority in the senate and barak is still loathed by at least 49% of the electorate

our natural resources are still drying up, climate change is destroying food reserves, wall street continues apace to unbalance to economy again, vast swaths of america are borderline retarded, no child left behind still is shutting down schools across the country and then renaming them and reopening them at tremendous extraneous cost to the taxpayer, drone strikes continue, iran continues to make threats and i don't believe for a second that obama is a peacetime president, assassinations continue and the patriot act exists, and hipsters still roam our streets unchecked
