There is water pouring through my ceiling
what the fuck, huge leaking is happening in my apartment. All of a sudden water came rushing out of walls and ceiling in my room, around our laundry room, and all the way into the dining room. Called maintenance, so now I can't do anything but wait, but these fuckers never respond.

a few months ago the pipes in my sink started leaking real bad (despite that i never use the sink) and it took a whole day for the maintenance people to come. what i learned about living in a cheap apartment is you get what you pay for

oh god that sucks
no sign of any damage here. which is kind of surprising because this building is ollllllldddddd and there have been problems with leaks in the past. |

I don't think it is storm related but who knows. I thought it was the washing machine from upstairs but those people were only running the dishwasher. They turned it off and the leaking stopped about 15 minutes after. Not sure if directly connected. Maybe just a general pipe is cracked or burst. Maintenance refused to come out tonight, said they were too busy. Lamesauce.
Also, this is Silver Spring, there is no such thing as a cheap apartment. We pay out the fucking nose for negligent service and administration in a crappy 50 year old building where nothing works right and the grounds are always fucking dirty and awful. |

I'd start a dehumidifier immediately, mold is going to start kicking in soon so an air filtration system would be useful in the room you sleep in

i never got why venice has this sexy reputation of a great city
i mean yeah it's logistically impressive but it fucking smells like shit and it's moldy and disgusting i can't imagine anybody wanting to live there. it's barely tolerable even for a tourist |
