Classic in the sense that you think it's terrific music, nothing more specific than that...
If you really want to comment and read comments then great. Can I ask that you post your list in its entirety at the start of your post in the same way andyslash has done, and then comments underneath? It just makes it easier to scan the titles. That was my only reason for asking. |

These are great you guys. I know a person's classic ten will change so feel free to post more than one list. I'll post a couple. Just hoping to have a thread with blocks of ten good albums worth listening to.
Can anyone give me a classic ten for the 60s or 70s? I haven't listened to a lot of music from those decades. |

Ikr? I haven't either, much. But it's still a classic album IMO. I went to see her with my then girlfriend in 1996 during the New Beginning tour, I'd played one of her songs to my gf and she'd fallen in love with so we went. She was really into the GLBT scene in our hometown and I wasn't, anyway we went and it was great and I was like why are there so many lesbians here???
She didn't tell me for like five years, I have no idea why. I can't believe I didn't realize. See this is why I said no comments! |

the Neil Young songs on Looking Forward alone make that almost as good as Deja Vu
Deja Vu is an absolutely fantastic album, in which Young appears in no more than 4 recordings i just think CSN's 70's album was the apex of the trios career in that band; every song wonderful. some of the most unique and beautiful choruses and bridges ever recorded. the lyrics are eternal. everyone outdoes themselves on that one. i sense there was come musical competition too, with the way Stills came back. imo, though. on another note, the Graham Nash/David Crosby album that game out a year or so later feels like a direct sequel to Deja Vu. |
