that's a big yes cause it's my favorite flavor. i used to get extreme cravings for sour foods and would suck on lemons and limes to deal with them until i was like 14. it's not as bad now but i still love sour foods.

good show

do you have much of a sweet tooth?

is the diameter of the face on this watch too wide relative to the strap or should i just go for it?

I really do. I try to fight it but in the end I just kind of have to let myself have something sweet every day and hope that it's a peach instead of a piece of cake

that watch could be really cool. it's difficult to tell without seeing it worn. online shopping is so hard

one day no one is going to wear watches anymore and it will be a sad day. watches have a nice intrinsic aesthetic

who could say no

on the one hand it almost seems mundane at this point because i'm used to seeing these images and this pattern is echoed in nature on a smaller scale...but the more i think about what that image depicts, the more upset i feel

i don't know if that's quite the way to put it even. my mind just goes to a very abstract and cold place when i think about anything beyond this planet

absolutely. that's why self-checking is so hard. it seems to me, what people do, at least what i do, is that we gather data and constantly try to fit it in with what we already believe, either altering the data or altering our convictions in the process. but the older one gets and the weightier one's convictions (some of them ideals) become, the more difficult it becomes to change them. i don't want to be a confused lunatic, but i also don't want to become a victim of those thoughts of my own i was too lazy to check when it was still possible. i find it pretty hard to stand up and say "this is what i believe now" without remembering all the things i used to believe that i ended up discarding eventually. i guess that's why i was interested in exactly how you became such a fervent supporter of ideals that (in that form) you yourself admit you've only held for about a year. oh well, tldr

maybe the issue is that I don't see radicalism as being any more idealistic or dogmatic than liberalism. and I don't regret or fully reject any of my past beliefs. there really haven't been that many "phases" or dramatic shifts in my life. in every case it's been a learning experience that helped me to see my beliefs more clearly in relation to the alternatives. for instance with the issue of Christianity, I reject aspects of both my protestant upbringing and atheist phase but feel that both taught me something about the nature of religious belief.

I don't think it's particularly useful to say "oh well it's not possible to really know anything". that's thought-terminating. I'd rather take a strong stance and change my mind later. in the end everyone is smarter for it.

like I honestly believe that if my destiny is to be a cam girl and a Democrat, I will realize that much faster by being a radfem than by being really moderate or whatever.

at the same time I wouldn't say I chose radical feminism. on a subconscious level, sure. but it really is what makes sense to me in every way. (the basic principles...radical feminists obvoiusly disagree on things)

I've indulged in various ideologies but I'm naturally skeptical so at heart I'm a moderate. I think it's good to try things on...as many things as possible, I agree...it's all learning.

How do you check your own point of view without considering others' charitably and seriously?

Are you talking to me?

Hey how old are you, Charmbag? Also where did you get that top from, in the pics thread? You're pretty, you have a cute nose.

I'm hurt you think that. It's one of the few positive things I would say about myself, that I do consider others' POVs as charitably as I can. You know, unless I've got the hormones and I'm just spoiling for a bitchfight. I don't count that though, that's more about fighting and feeling rotten than thinking seriously about something.

Oh I think you misread my post or it was ambiguous. You asked how you check your own perspective without considering others views and I was saying "you don't" as in "one cannot". Sorry

Oh! Lol. Thanks for telling me, I'll stop feeling hurt now. Thanks for the top info too. And you're welcome.
