Texas Is The Reason
With the reunion shows coming up, I've been listening to these guys alot. My God, Do You Know Who You Are? was an insane CD. Way better than Sunny Day. They also just repressed the s/t EP on 7" and my copy came in the mail today. So good. Never gotten that Promise Ring split but I imagine it's incredible.
Anyone else like these guys? There's something about a band coming out, putting out like 15 total songs, and every one of them just being mindblowing and then them just walking off.  |

I love this kind of music but texas is the reason is one of my least favorite bands in the genre. have you heard any of the emo revival stuff coming out of chicago and the east coast? lot of great bands within the past few years

They're great... but better than sunny day is not only an irrelevant comment as they weren't even really similar styles, but kind of silly given sample sizes
