True, but proportionally it's 30% more cash for space that in my mind I wouldn't use - even though it doubles the size. I just know I'd never fill it up, but with the new processing power, it might become a pretty decent gaming/media platform. Then on your next phone after that, you'll feel obligated to get something bigger than 64 gigs.

I agree with not paying for what you won't use. They could charge me 100 bucks for 500 gigs, but I wouldn't use it, even if it is a deal.

But I was just saying it's true he'll have it around for years and file sizes may bloat in that time, as may the quantity of apps.

i would really hate to see the technology begin to decline, especially as the products become more mainstream, and become tailored more for the casual computer user (a teenage facebooker for example) as opposed to a "business machine"

the casual computer user is a much bigger audience. and apple has always been about hardcore accessibility as it is so it's almost likely to assume they'll continue to simplify things further and further, because that's what i think they assume is the secret of their success

because it's only $100, i'll probably keep the thing for longer than that (i'm on 3.5 years on my current phone) and the space is there if i want to use it. i have no problem spending an extra $100 on something i'm already spending $300 on to have the option to add a bunch of songs and movies. i can't use my laptop on planes because the seat in front is always so close it's impossible to open a 17".

This. I have a smart phone but I would probably go back to a regular one if not for the GPS. That thing has saved me a million times over.
