it's so profoundly disappointing that the simpsons, family guy and southpark have all continued so far past their prime. every time i come across a new episode of each of these shows i'm literally disgusted at how rehashed, stale and just not funny it is

i mean why is it impossible for people to throw in the towel while they still have dignity?

The important thing/s to know about me are that I'm a strong thinker and have never been able to harmonize with our society. I'm utterly off the map on most things and require another strong thinker - someone that can crunch complex questions and get down to the core denominators then assemble the picture, or detangle the mess that Empire has made of things (as "they" stamp their footprint on everything).

I'll explain "Empire" in a moment... I'm political - way LEFT. Specifically I'm an Anarchist or Libertarian_Socialist. I'm an Anarchist of the Bakunin stripe and NOT the Godwin stripe! Please, please, please consider what the difference is in these two groups before contacting me! Really you should be another political anyway or we will scarcely be able to "communicate" BUT if say you are another Leftist (Marxist, Socialist..) please be sure to understand the Bakunin/Godwin difference. If your a Leftist you probably already know. But OK back to trying to keep this short and mentioning the most important things about myself. I'll explain the Empire statement too... By the way please pardon my typos in here, I'm sure there will be more than a few, but I tire of years of writing these things yet the continual isolation... Sigh, I've lost the will to proof read!

By Empire I'm referring to our socio-cultural parents; those White Boys that docked on Plymoth Rock and brought "Rome" with them. That is a mindset of conquest, exploit and conquer... I'm a female that questions this all as a matter of routine! I'm not "part of our society" or the lady that fit's in. This isn't artifice, or "a gig" nor is it any kind of artificial endevour to be "radical". I AM RADICAL and this made me who I am. Please understand all this. I have enough trouble just trying to get men to clear their eye's an understand they are encountering a old school style revolutionary and that this isn't some sort of weird alternate universe they have landed in for a moment.

Another important thing about me is that I'm about "respect and justice". Most social issues.., helping people,, healing situations (justice) and so on begin with THINKING patterns... In my book the mind is critical - or freeing the mind (of the exploitative paradigm Empire implants us with)!!! So this is what drives my strong and radical thinking and equal need to have partner be of strong and sharp mind as well... I like truly sophisticated thinker's AND he must be a Leftist.

And please, I hope people understand that the Democrat platform is not Leftist. See the Political Compass if there are questions about this. But Leftist does NOT mean we can run a capitalist system and just have a couple social program perks up an d running as an adjunct and so we are "Leftist's." No! And worse yet the Democrat Party is imperialist... I don't know which is worse or causes more suffering around the globe... By Leftist I mean you REJECT capitalism.

But OK I'm explaining my intensity there and that you can expect this female to be serious about treating each other with proper care and respect. Aside from this intensity, I'm just kind of warm, sweet and a little Dorkish. I have no need for "cool" and don't tolerate anyone that has stick up their arse issues with having fun. Sorry but Seattlites are down right f*cked up sometimes with the classist hipster shit routines. Snore! It's also just a little "ill".

Anyhow, if you're a fellow radical thinker, strong thinker and maybe a hard core philosopher, warm, passionate and know yourself well I'd really love to here from you! Please know your intentions thought too, way to often we never really know out intentions with others and we sorta expect to be served and healed and cooed over without ever realizing we have a duty to serve our partners, protecting them and lending devotion. Empire tells us all we can just sorta throw scraps out, "charity", starve each other, take, and that everything will work. No! Think Peter Kropotkin and Mutual Aid! I don't at all work within the Empire framework and I require partner that rejects all that to. I exist in your life for you to display devotion and proper care, NOT to be exploited. Understood? That's for the silly boy's out there that would treat me like dirt rather than a lady (human being).

Oh wait, this is important! This world can leave us sad or blue at times.... You must be able to allow people normal emotions WITHOUT feeling they are mentally ill. Funny statement I know, but seriously.., if you believe that people having emotions, or struggles.., means people are mentally ill, or unstable then don't write me. I'm passionate, and like to be out of the closet and I expect to be able to confide in a partner and deserve the maturity and development of moral support! If you feel being tuned into emotions, or simply having them is mental illness then scram! And I encourage people to look closely at this paradigm - at the paradigm we have have been sold (by doctors that profit on drugs)! Deeper still, if you are afraid of others having emotions, this may mean YOU have not learned how to process your own.. Or even that you fear emotions because you might not take very good care of people, and so "don't like others having" the emotions that let you know you're irresponsible. At any rate, I need an adult that past all this fear of life and struggle and call to be there for another.

with every long running show it's only a matter of time before the writing becomes purely about delivering the audience with what they think it wants, or trying to recreate the success of inspired past seasons with zero inspiration in hand

I can see Family Guy's style being unwatchable to some but South Park? Show has some decent satire in its finest moments.

And unlike a lot of comedic voices, they actually spare nobody, hold nothing sacred. They're pretty equitable with their attacks

Family Guy and Simpsons are both way over the hill.
Futurama is starting to wither a bit but still delivers a minimum of one good laugh an episode.
South Park has lost some of its absurdist bite but Parker & Stone have sharpened their capacity for satire to such a fine point that it's worth watching for their political/cultural insights alone.
Archer is the funniest show on television today and its just getting better.
Bob's Burgers is inconsistent but when it pulls off an idea its hilarious.
I thought Ugly Americans showed a lot of promise and then kinda squandered it.

in january we went through all 7 seasons of golden girls. we are currently in the middle of the second season of I Love Lucy; so far each season has 30 episodes. there are lots of things i didn't realize about that show in my youth (mainly how selfish Lucy is and the warped husband/wife relationship), but i watch it for her antics mostly.

those two shows make me laugh pretty consistently. so did bored to death, but that didn't last very long. ;_;

i don't know if i've ever seen an entire episode of family guy. @_@

i tried watching south park season 6 dvd recently and after a few episodes i was already pretty tired of it

they are just a couple of punks from small town colorado. while they aren't mainstream right wing, they are still pretty concerned with the status quo and generally intolerant of anything that isn't white and male.

butters is a saving grace, and shows that are about the boys being boys are good fun but when they start rambling, well...it gets pretty tiresome.

classic simpsons, like seasons 3-5 and possibly beyond, but not by much, still hold up, are still funny even though i know all of the punchlines ,and advocate a more general humanist stance than the anti-everything nihilism of south park

crack baby athletic association, broadway bro-down, reverse cowgirl, jewpacabra, cartman finds love, city sushi, you're getting old/assburgers, last of the meheecans, bass to mouth, and 1% were all great, if you ask me.

yes there are some duds. namely that ziplining episode. but i can forgive those pretty easily.
