Yeah but I don't want to chip in to pay for hospital visits by the uninsured so I don't really care about this. Slippery slope case to be made here but I personally don't mind this part.

the medicare 'cuts' wont really effect them though. mainly the insurance companies and hospitals

Ryan said President Obama “funneled” $716 billion out of Medicare “at the expense of the elderly.”:
MOSTLY FALSE

This gives a very misleading impression.

In fact, the law limits payments to health care providers and insurers to try to reduce the rapid growth of future Medicare spending. Lawmakers said they hoped the measures would improve care and efficiency. Those savings, spread out over the next 10 years, are then used to offset costs created by the law (especially coverage for the uninsured) so that the overall law doesn't add to the deficit. Ryan’s statement is exaggerated and we rate it Mostly False.

There's a lot of good in Obamacare, some bad. Romney was an a-hole for flat out declaring that he was going to repeal it all but it looks like he's changed his stance on that.

I don't buy this because as a society we don't turn people who can't pay away from emergency services at hospitals- somebody still pays for them, and that cost gets handed back to all of us who use healthcare services eventually.

We would pay a lot less AND give people a better, more humane quality of life if we paid up front for preventive services instead of responsively to complete disasters

The Republicans in general are on this issue- I don't believe the "Repeal and replace" but for one second, they have all the political capital to gain by watching Obamacare go down in flames and nothing to gain from offering their own divisive plan on an incredibly difficult issue

one can agree with this and still be against this particular way of doing it.

Yea I agree. Again, why I said that I didn't think Obamacare was the greatest, but I didn't believe the republicans would repeal AND replace with another proposal. And of course, that would sadly be our only other real option in this country right now

Their faces say they're accustomed to this. Or that they just want to eat in peace.
