i grew up with dogs but i've had some cats since my parents moved. used to be a dog person. a couple of years ago while living with my cousin we took care of his aunt's dog for a few days and it was really annoying. the dog was so desperate for attention that he would never leave me alone. cats give me the space i need.

I like both but I think they are also unclean, my cat ICA (19 years) died a month ago and she used to pee everywhere and Klavier kills mice very often

I don't understand why people want cats in their house. besides the creepy health issues, like toxoplasma gondii, they're filthy animals. they piss and shit indoors, walk around in their piss boxes and then walk all over your furniture, kitchen counters, etc.

I used to own rental property. One of my tenants sneaked two cats into her apartment. a few months later when she left all the carpeting was ruined. it was soaked in cat piss. disgusting

I would probably have less of a negative opinion of cats were I not so allergic. But there's also a social difference between cats and dogs. I've never understood why people have all different types of pets. Fish, birds, ferrets, etc.

I like dogs because they're social. I can take my pit for walks. He rides around with me in my truck. He interacts with people. why have a pet that doesn't give a shit about you? That could be left alone for 30 days with a bowl of water and food and wouldn't know the difference? It seems pointless to me to have a pet like that.

you can have them go to the bathroom outside if you want. you can keep them off your counters if you want but otherwise they clean themselves immaculately and constantly and dont require baths like dogs

and that is definitely an owner problem re: soaked carpet in cat piss. cats dont pee outside of their litter box unless 1) you never clean it or 2) they're sick

50/50 dead heat up in here! I am not a fan of yappy dogs that can fit in my purse. Big dogs are generally awesome, as are midsized dogs. Cats can be dicks but they are my favorite anyway. I would have both, personally
