I mean, I know we're in a postmodernized era now, and science is so 200 years ago and isn't supposed to hold answers anymore, and I guess there's nothing inherently wrong with people just wanting to feel secure about themselves and their lives--it's a fucking scary world. But I think you're missing out on life if you don't take control of your own and instead rely on somebody who is only interested in taking your money to live it vicariously through you.

I do Tarot readings. I believe STRONGLY in energies and all that "nonsense". Sure there are some times when everything isn't quite accurate and you have to kind of go off of what the person responds to...but like I always tell the people who come to me for readings, this may not be 100% accurate. But it does depend strongly on how much energy you put into it. It's not all BS

I've already stated my opinion, so it should be obvious I think you're duping both yourself and the people you read for. That being said, suit yourself; I'm certainly not going to stop you or call you a dumb bitch or something equally silly. At least now both sides of the issue have been presented in the thread.

believe me when i tell you they all say that. if you look remotely stressed, you're an easy target because you're so vulnerable.

i've been jipped, but there was one instance when the woman doing the reading told me things that came true. i was worried about my mothers' health at the time, since she was dealing with cycsts, spinal problems, asthma and was obese....and the woman shook her head and said she didn't see anything wrong, but that my father should take care of his circulatory system. when she said this, i immediately figured she didn't know wtf she was talking about because my father was the healthiest person i knew....i forgot about it and only realized what she had predicted was true after he died of heart failure a year later.

i was heavily preoccupied with a guy i liked in school when i had the reading, and she told me he liked me but that he was too shy to do anything about it, and if anything were to happen it would be because i did something about it. i never did. . . but the point is she had asked me if his name started with a certain letter, and it did not. "no...well i see a male figure in your life, do you know anyone whos name starts with the letter __?" i knew no one.
my current bf's name does.

it could all be bs (the latter situation being something i could have subconciously made to be what it is). regardless, what someone predicted turned out to be true. it personally doesn't matter to me. i'd rather live life not knowing what's coming next.
