My wife has been explaining to me the differences Korean, Japanese, and Chinese pop. And she explained how the Asian record companies manufacture pop, rock, and rap bands starting when the kids are in high school. All very artificial.

This isn't anything new from there. Listen to Instant Music by The Pillows. It's been a problem for a while. Sadly the market hasn't resisted it. :/

hello! project is pretty much a troupe of girls who make up all sorts of other groups. they move on and graduate and younger girls come in. it's like menudo, but with jpop.
