Default What's the last movie you saw that you hated? Last album you listened to?

I saw this really fucking awful movie the other night called "You Are Not Alone". It was this Danish (I think) movie from the 70's about the coming-of-age/sexual awakening of these two kids in high school. Half of the movie is your typical "welp, I guess I'm gay" kind of thing and the other half of the movie was this bizarre subplot about a boy being expelled from school for posting pornography in the bathrooms. All of the students rallied together to have the school retract their decision. In the end the students have to do some project based on the 10 commandments, and they choose "love your neighbor as yourself" and they make this video where it's just basically these two boys from the first part of the movie making out everywhere and they show it to the whole school including the one of the boys dads, who happens to be the super strict headmaster. You don't actually see what happens though because these two dudes are just making out throughout the credits. Real bizarre movie.

Also I tried to get through 69 Love Songs for the third time today and I just couldn't do it. What an awful album (with the exception of Luckiest Guy on the Lower East Side, that song is great). Stephen Merritt sounds like a failed lounge singer and the songs are juvenile enough to sound like the music is being targeted towards children. I don't get it.

When you say "saw", I think in the theater so I'll go with that. The last movie I saw in the theater was Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and I enjoyed it a lot. It was ridiculous but was entertaining as hell.

Last full album was Come Around Sundown by Kings of Leon yesterday on the drive to St. Louis, if I don't count half of that Pisces Iscariot bonus disc I listened to today.

No I mean the point of the thread was for you to share what the last album and film that you listned to/watched and disliked were. I don't think you understood that because you mentioned how much you liked Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter.

Last movie I saw and hated was Alien: Resurrection (which I put off watching for a good 12 years cause everyone told me how bad it sucked)

Last album I disliked is a bit harder... I just kind of assume that anything I don't enjoy I just "don't get". But I guess the last time I was like "why do people listen to this mindless tripe?" was when I heard Beach House. Jesus fuck what awfully boring music.

Last movie I saw and hated was Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Only watched it because it was on the syllabus because of the amount of effort that went into the animation. Good animation will only take you so far when you want to punch the fucking scriptwriter.

"BUT WILL I BE IN TIME...TO SAVE THE WORLD?!"

What is this shit?

Last album I listened to was In Utero.
