I don't really care to debate the merits of the Act on here anymore.

I'd like to talk about the decision but no one seems to really want to do that.

If this isn't going to be any more than people talking about how it's bad policy then I'm gonna stop posting here.

well what else is there to talk about

the last part that nobody's talking about is how states (arizona) can still opt out of the new Medicare program (arizona)

And no that isn't what I want. Other people are capable of discussing the merits of a court decision.

Not everyone. But people here could probably.

I'm interested to see the justification behind rejecting the Medicaid expansion.

today has been an entertaining news day. paultards, teabaggers and wingnutz didn't seem to see this one coming and they dont' seem to know how to deal with it.

“But what a big difference. He supported it on the state level. Which means if you didn’t like it in Massachusetts, you could move to another state." - marco rubio, defender of Mittens Romney!

The Court Decision:

I don't like that they sort of punted on the whole issue, though I'm not all that surprised. And from what I understand they consider the mandate a violation of the commerce clause but since its a tax and comes with a fine, the decision essentially says to voters, "Congress can enact this tax, if you don't like it, change Congress."

ergo, Roberts opinion of 'It is not our role to forbid it, or pass upon its wisdom or fairness'...

Chickenshit point of view considering it is the role of the Supreme Court to protect citizens from an overzealous government, but I digress...

Generally speaking many days these days freedom dies a little bit as a tyranny grows. Today, biggest lost of it since (insert failed collectivist society here).
