my first SP release is jumbled. i blame it on my cult upbringing since i had to hide any and all music i liked.

i think my first sp purchase was sd on cassette; then mcis on cassette; then i think pi on cd. and etc.

Back in 95, soon after I bought MCIS on CD I found a MCIS double cassette w/ case @ K-Mart that was sitting on top of the CDs rack, like a display. It wasn't wrapped in plastic nor did it have a security tag on it, so it made leaving the store very easy. Thank you K-Mart.

I stole so many CD's from K-Mart it's ridic. I am, to this day, convinced it was my masterwork that made them put CD censors in their CD's. before my onslaught they never had them; three months of me and they put them in.

I was like 15.

my first sp was a used copy of siamese dream. i had a couple friends who were into cd trading pretty heavily did anybody else used to do this?

i wasn't allowed to do the columbia house deals so i bought most cd's from pawn shops & junk stores. there was a greate used cd store that was like an hour away though - that's where i bought my TAFH i think for only 35 or something

i remember being so stoked when zero would come on the local rock station - because it was based so far away i could only hear it in my dad's truck when we were traveling north and it would lose reception the closer we got back to town - prolly 10 miles or less

What was the retail price of TAFH when new? I forget, like $60?

I bought SD at Coconuts (lol) and MCIS at Target.

idk i'm listed as "paypal only" but if someone takes the time to contact me and work out something else it has never been a problem.

maybe that's just the community spirit involved with "hissy nofi microcassettes" idk

so do you still need that thing? sometimes i see it in used record stores.
i should get it for myself i guess, and compare the sound.

in high school i used to listen to a cassette i taped from the CD and it was a horrible transfer, but portable CD players were still a luxury then.

I'm sure the sound is almost exactly like the CD except with a little bit of hiss. I'd just like to buy it because my sisters destroyed the two j-cards like two years ago and threw them out the window (while it was raining!)

And I adored those cassettes, the last time I ever played them was with my Sony Walkman on the first day of school, sept 2009, I played 'Lily' and then I put Cassette Two back in the case. I spent days listening to those two cassettes, over and over again. Obsessively almost. At the time I had a curfew and whenever I'd go out I'd take my Walkman and I'd swing on Greenwood Park'swingset for about two or three hours whilst listening to a random cassette and whenever the cassette was over, I'd walk to my local store, buy a Pepsi, and walk back home...

On the day I bought those cassettes, I was with my father and at the time, whenever I wanted something he'd drive me over and pay for whatever I was buying, and I bought Silverchair's Frogstomp, Third Eye Blind's first album (a classic) and MCIS. And when I showed him what I was going to buy he said "Those are the same cassettes." because they had the same covers and I said "No." and I showed him the tapes and how they had different tracklistings from another. That was around the last day of grade six, june 2009. A day later, Michael Jackson died.
