here is what i need to be able to do: i need to be able to play music on my desktop computer using my laptop. i have them networked togethor with a wireless router and that is working perfectly. i can establish a remote desktop connection choosing to leave the sound at the remote location which is what i want.. but when i attempt to play sound it doesn't work and says the sound card is in use or not installed. i don't anyone would have ever tried this, but if you have any suggestions it'd be appreciated. oh yeah, both computers are running xp pro.

just open the media player of your choice on the desktop, open up your network folder to the laptop, throw whatever you want to play from it into the player.
or do you mean having the laptop itself playing the media and have only the sound networked to the desktop? good luck w/ that one. ![]() |
