ugh. when are all girl pants going to be measured in inches? it would certainly cut out a lot of trying on clothes and frustration. i wear a 24 comfortably; with pants from target i'm at a size 3 but the more i pay the smaller that number gets.

i stopped drinking soda sometime in high school because it was the only "healthy" decision regarding diet i could bring myself to make. it didn't matter at the time because i was so active anyway, but i'm glad i gave it up when i did because it would probably be doing a number on me right now.

i'll still drink ginger ale occasionally though. shit's delicious.

yeah i drink maybe 2-3 sodas a month, and i wish i would quit that

mostly drinking water

counting calories has really shown me to be careful with what i drink. ffs, even OJ has a shitload of calories and little nutrition

eat oranges instead. this pie shop around the corner from us has these orange/tangerine hybrids just sitting in a bowl on the tables and you're allowed to help yourself. they're almost shaped like lemons and are oh so good.

Pretty much, yeah. It's super fucked.

I smoke cigarettes off and on and I can honestly say that the few times I attempted cutting soda out of my diet completely was way way harder for me. Even physically it affected me more. Since I can remember, the longest time I went without a soda (diet or regular) was maybe 2 or 3 months. Cigarettes I've taken huge breaks with, sometimes over a year.

Crazy shit. I'm drinking one right now!

What about your teeth, though D:

I've heard that HFCS is addictive, I've never checked it out though. I didn't drink soda in the US because I didn't like the taste of HFCS. I don't drink it often, anyway. I'm a tea and coffee addict though. Up to 5 cups a day of each. But usually black without sugar (or I drink green/oolong/whatever).

cutting out carbs won't make you depressed like cutting out fatty foods will, though.

i've lost 30-40 pounds on three occasions, and have been finally able to keep it off for a couple years now. first thing people should eliminate is calories from drinks. if you're consuming like 400 calories a day just in your coffee, you gotta look to cut that shit out. milk and sweetener if need be.

that is a completely 100% false statement
like i know i'm not one to talk about this but that's just blatantly false. even if you take out the hyperbole and go with that you weren't actually literally saying any amount of exercise is impossible without carbs
where would you get that idea
and where did you get that she said "i will never eat another carbohydrate"
why did you post that
you know what else makes exercise hard is being an anorexic on hallucinogens

i did that. i haven't been drinking anything but water, i saw how fast that was all adding up for sure. i've never been a coffee person or a big soda drinker thankfully. i do like milk and grew up on skim milk but i've been avoiding that too. i was already drinking mostly water but now it's almost 100%

congrats on keeping it off. :-)

i really do fine until i take my night time medication. i've experimented to see which one it is as they all can have the increased hunger side effect, and it seems to be the remeron.

im going to start putting my dose by the sink in my bathroom at night and taking it when i get up to pee (which usually is 2-3 times a night).

see if that helps

I tried Atkins for I think 3 days before giving up, once. It was disgusting and I'll never do it again. But it did help me realize that I could cut out cereals and grains and still be getting plenty of carbs from fresh vegetables and lentils, chickpeas, etc. I can't go without oatmeal in the morning though, I feel weird not having it.

I went to the gym the other night and I still hate it. They just weird me out, I hate how everyone is sweating so close together. And all the cardio stuff is next to the boxing room so I have to listen to people hitting things while I'm working out. I have headphones on but you know in between tracks I hear a lot of whacking and grunting. Not cool.

no, they make sustained higher intensity cardio possible.

i don't eat a lot of fat. i eat more protein than fat, generally, and WAY more carbs.

we're talking like 70-80% breakdown being carbs

that has to change

i can afford much more fat and protein so i think i'm gonna work on replacing

my digestion is awesome though lately, i actually feel like a normal person with a normal digestive system. when i was a kid i had horrible untreated IBS for like 15 years and i dont know how i lived

re-introducing vegetables is specifically very new to me and i'm getting way more fiber than i'm used to. was bloated from it for a few days but normalizing now.

like i don't eat a wide variety of food as all. seriously, my diet is like

my major foods are:
eggs
oatmeal
various fruit (mainly bananas, oranges, apples - other stuff if they are cheap)
salad mixes
fresh carrots and broccoli and frozen other veggies
turkey breast
cheddar and mozz cheeses
yogurt
uhh rice
granola and trail mix type stuff

seriously thats it. i have some healthy choice type dinners in the freezer for lazy meals but they aren't too bad except the sodium is ridiculous. i eat probably 3-4 a week

so you see i should be losing weight. and the vast majority of what i eat is carb laden

even at night when the meds make me binge i end up eating like five bananas. at least it's not ice cream or something.

before the past few weeks i was eating mostly the same except i wasn't getting almost any vegetables

they don't even do that considering there are people who run marathons on zero carb diets
i mean these are weirdos who willingly isolate themselves socially to adhere to a bizarre diet but it is scientifically possible

you're right, I should have qualified that as being true only for the majority. and even then carbs make that shit way easier.
