i know when i'm out of practice on a particular instrument, or not practicing regularly, i tend to play the same thing over and over.
that's just an effect of not having practice goals. |

like i got a pawn shop bass a couple months ago and only know how to play 1 bassline i wrote for a song, the bassline for stranglehold, and the bassline for bad. idgaf.

BAD NEIGHBOUR UPDATE
so today at like fucking 7:30 am my other weirdo neighbour started drilling and slamming and hammering and tossing all sorts of fucking shit on his porch. which is, seriously, no more than 5 meters from the window above my bed. i know it's legit and all, it ain't 4 in the morning, but some people work shifts (i have to work from 17:00-2:00 am sometimes) ffs. what kind of a cruel asshole does that shit that early in the morning |

and also, at the risk of sounding like a huge douche, it kind of pisses me off that these fucking kids have no desire to venture with their instrument or at least TRY something different once in a while. it's fairly obvious that they're the type of family who push their children to do all sorts of extracurricular activities but still, you've gone through the labor of learning to play a certain instrument. how could you not have the urge to try something different?
even the anal type like me who's all about avoiding change is not that fucking obtuse |

whenever they start playing that noisome crap, get out your favorite record and blast it full volume.
it works, no joke. my dad had these mexican neighbors on the apartment complex that he lived in. the mexicans would blast salsa music nonstop. my dad eventually got pissed off and put in a concert dvd. so they'd have noise battles of salsa music and "helter skelter" for hours on end. the mexicans gave up eventually |
