And I grew up in an all-white school where basketball was king. Everyone had Jordan's. Even the chubby antisocial kids who never touched a basketball. They were revolutionary shoes, really.

I bought a pair that were on sale a few years ago that were all black and surprisingly not gaudy or garish, which for Jordans is an accomplishment. I'll give them credit...considering how expensive they tend to be they are pretty durable.

Nothing will beat this type of shoe for sheer stupidity though:

Back on topic...Go Giants. Here's to the upcoming BANANABAN.

i saw a homeless dude in a starter pullover jacket yesterday

i thought it was hilarious because those were such a hip thing to have at a black middle school

my mom wouldn't buy me one because she didn't think i'd wear a pullover because you have to pull it over your head to put it on and she got me an apex saints jacket that zipped up the front. it was alright but still wasn't the starter pullover nahmean

then i proceeded to wear hoodies all the time, i dunno she don't make a lot of sense

My favorite basketball shoes are still the Air Penny IIs with the Air More Uptempos (often erroneously called Pippens) a close second. Gosh, 1995-6 was such a freaking great year for basketball shoes.

We saw a homeless guy walking down the rod a few weeks ago wearing one of those giant Starter jackets. For Texas A&M. It was hilarious.

When I played hours and hours of basketball daily, I swore by the Air Max'. They weren't the most durable, but we're great shoes for playing.

That's right, LA Gear's Regulators were after the Reebox.

God they were dumb.
