no those were tax cuts from the bush administration. i know its hard to grasp but bear with me
the middle class pays about $1000 less in taxes under obama as part of the said compromise. and before that the stimulus package included tax cuts for small businesses, home buyers, college students... pretty much like 99% of americans. i don't think that falls in line with bush's tax policy |

i was referring specifically to the "bush tax cuts" as they are known colloquially that obama then adopted in the name of (a laughable attempt) at compromise

well for one because the tax cuts were extended by way of congressional blackmail rather than it meshing with obama's tax policy. i seriously think you're smart enough and already know that. but for the sake of argument lets say obama's all gung ho about the bush tax cuts, or he's too weak to let them expire, whatever. okay then its only fair look at the rest of the tax cuts throughout the obama administration. do they parallel with bush's tax policies in any way?
that's the point i'm making. if obama is black bush then why isn't he trying to privatize social security or do something similar? why is he forcing insurance companies to to take in only 30% of their profits? why did he let france lead in a NATO offense. i could of course go on and on and i think it's intellectually dishonest to say he's just like bush. to say so is just cherry picking a few things |

oh my god once again i'm on your fucking side i'm just telling you that acting like obama has been nothing but super awesome makes you seem as disingenuous as those calling him black bush.
the truth lies somewhere in between. but when you ask for a parallel to bush and i point to one specific bush policy (that obama actively campaigned against) that obama extended without much of a fight, it's sort of silly to protest it so much based on the entirety of tax policy considering that wasn't what i was talking about. |

no. drones are how virtually all military objectives are accomplished now. if we should end all involvement abroad right now right away then that's another argument. but without drone strikes most soldiers (in afghanistan in particular) are as good as dead
