Default Since we're almost 11 years and 7 months from the release of the release of Gladiator

What does everyone think of it?

Not as good as Braveheart, but definitely the Braveheart of the 00's.

I've always like gladiator... all the films that came after it sucked, like Troy or Alexander.

it was one of my favorite movies but recently i haven't been able to get through it whenever i watch it on dvd or cable. maybe like how starla said there were so many shitty period movies after it it kind of diluted my memory of what made it so good

Maybe better than Bravehart. Haven't seen either in a while.

braveheart is an overly dramatized hollywood piece of shit and I didn't think to highly of the gladiator either.

This man here sums it up pretty well:

Gladiator is no where near better. Not a single aspect of it is better. Gladiator wants so bad to be Braveheart but it's not. It's still an entertaining movie though.

I mean look at how much Braveheart blows Gladiator away in the category of the emotional death of the main character.

He's just a one dimensional actor though. Not only did Mel Gibson out act him in Braveheart but he also directed the movie and that movie is soooooooooo well directed.

And crazy people are some of the best artists. God damn Braveheart is great, I'm going to have to rewatch that soon.

Gladiator is amazing at it makes me tear up ever so slightly every time. Never seen Braveheart and honestly the fact that Mel Gibson is in it is kind of a turn off in this day and age

What a stupid reason to not see a movie. If you liked Gladiator then you really need to check out Braveheart. A better movie in each and every way.

The scene in which Gibson gets his guts ripped out was pretty sweet.
