I had an excellent time. Very glad my parents were not there and we had our own little Thanksgiving. I actually socialized and had fun. Shocking!

i had a shit of a time trying to get out to my boss's house. i ended up making it almost all the way there and he picked me up and drove the rest of the way. dinner was delicious. i made some sweet cranberry-lemon bread with crystallized ginger and lemon glaze. it actually came out well considering that i pulled it out of the oven at the last minute, right before i walked out the door.

I was with like ten other 20-somethings so it was kinda cool. No parents or kids. We all said thanks to Ocean Spray for making canned cranberry sauce and baby jesus for our 7 lb turkey.

it was cool though

So much better than frozen pizza or my normal standby of sleeping the whole day to avoid family

we played balderdash too which is basically the best board game EVER (of you can really call it that) when you play with smart people.

my worst thanksgivings were probably the two i spent with my ex's family in North Bergen, NJ.

boring, dry, white people making a boring dry meal eating it in silence without any recognition of what the holiday is for. The only thing different from when we usually ate dinner over there was that we ate at the fancy table.
