Default Do your ears ever get stopped up?

I'm constantly having a problem with my ears. Like I'll wake up in the morning and they're stopped up from sleeping on my side. I bought some of that stuff that's supposed to clear your ears out but it didn't do anything. And I when I went to my gen. prac. last time and asked her to clear them out she said no, they weren't bad enough.

Well if they're not bad enough why are they constantly stopping up? It's so annoying.

Do yours ever do this? What did you do to fix it?

I feel like an old person constantly having to ask people to repeat themselves because I can't hear very clearly. Lame.

Dude it's so annoying, mine will randomly close. This also happens every time I eat magic mushrooms, and I don't see the parallel. And unfortunately I've found no way to make it stop, although I usually just tell myself there are worse problems to have.

A few years ago, I had an ear infection that I made worse by trying to clean out my ears with wax removal drops and water in the shower after I'd thought the infection had cleared up. Now when they feel stuffed up, I just try to ignore it until they eventually feel better, even though it's pretty annoying. I try to pop them like when you blow your nose, but that's about it.

I get earwax build ups a doctor has to flush every four or five years, but if the doctor didn't see the wax buildup I don't know what to say. Home remedies for flushing can easily cause more damage than help so I'd stayaway. Might want to see a ENT specialist?

Does it feel or sound like water is trapped inside of the ear? Is it one or both? I have dealt with constant ear infections in my right ear as q result of a tumor that was growing against my ear drum. It was removed, I lost about 25%-30% hearing and still have to deal with infections.

damaging my ears is a frightening prospect. i have this happen occasionally but i just can't stand it. usually it ends up being water or wax and some vigorous sideways head thrashing or drops do the trick. otherwise i go to sleep and hope it clears up overnight.

Well see my hematologist was all "wtf! Get your ears cleaned out" last time I saw him, so the next time I went in to my gen. prac. I told her that and told her they were stopping up and she said it wasn't enough to do anything about. I dunno. I thought about going to one of the care now non emergency clinics and get them to do it.

The doc's excuse doesn't make much sense to me. But to flush you need to use ear drops for at least 3 days (Debrox) so it can be flushed out completely. Even if it's a little buildup it can be flushed.

Maybe you have inner ear/eardrum issues. :/ I'd not mess with an emergency clinic (insurance rip off) but would seek a specialist soon.

If It's liquid a couple of drops of alcohol will dry it out.

It's only my left ear, but in the morning and often when I am working out, it's like I have swimmer's ear. If I drop my chin to my chest and swallow, it will clear up temporarily. I feel like it has to do with being warm and the earwax expanding, but what the fuck do I know. It's annoying.

My doctor has commented a couple of times about how much wax build up I have. I found if odd they'd make a comment but not ask if I wanted them to be cleaned.
