I'd be so creeped out if people I knew liked to look at pictures of kids or something. One of my friend's stepsisters violated an infant girl to the point where they don't know how she'll recover.
Who would be sick and selfish enough to do that to a baby???

So he has been trying to hide it for a while but finally I have gotten him to open up and talk to me about it. Im trying to figure out if my boyfriend is a pedophile, if it's something else, maybe a phase or something that could pass?

he describes it this way; In real life, seeing a little girl doesn't turn him on. he says I should never worry that he's thinking something perverted when little girls are bending over or dressed in bikinis. He says when he thinks about it in real life, it seems wrong, and disturbing. He says he could never imagine acting on it. He never felt this way about little girls up until last year or so.

However when he sees images or videos on the internet, it is almost like a fetish. It turns him on immensely.. though so do women his age. He would be a non-exclusive pedophile. what does it mean when it's only images and videos that turn him on? he says when he sees it online, its like they're not real people. He turns them into objects in his mind, because it's just a picture and it doesn't seem real. He doesn't know where these feelings came from.

Could it have anything to do with hitting puberty at a very late age (17/18)? What could have started this, he says he is unsure. He also says it feels like "a task that needs to be completed" and he doesn't look at it as anything else. Has he just become obsessed with something? Is it in any way treatable or manageable?

He says he loves me very much, and we are VERY sexually active so it doesn't disturb our relationship physically however it disturbs me emotionally. I don't want to have to worry about him masturbating to kiddie porn whenever i'm not around. he says in his mind, what he's doing isn't wrong, he isn't hurting anybody and it doesn't effect him in real life. He also says part of him wishes I would just be alright with it.
