moving out of the dorms.

all my friends have left. my roomate leaves tomorrow at eight AM. i still have to pack all my shit. i don't want to leave yet. i am not ready. this place is the greatest thing that ever happened to me.
i have said this before- but now it strikes me as even more real than the last time i posted it...
i am leaving this room... with the free ethernet service... the free food... the zero need for cleaning, stocking up on toilet paper, doing the dishes... i am leaving all of this to go live in the living room at my moms house. i get to sleep on the couch. there is no phone line, no food, nothing to drink, nothing to do, no one to talk to, no internet connection... no nothing. i will have no closet, no dresser... i will be living out of boxes that will be shoved in a little boys room... a little boy i am not even remotely related to.
i don't belong there anymore... my mom has adjusted to life without me- and they have a new family now, and i am not a part of it.
i don't want to leave. i have never felt so out of place before as i feel now.
i just need to cry for a little while.

Uh, that really sucks. I was also very sad when I had to leave my college suite in May. The greatest place I've ever lived. I take a look at the pictures from the suite everyday..
At least my parents have Internet...

Oh man. Moving out of the dorms last year was a depressing experience. You grow so attached to the people and the whole environment, then one day it's just yanked from you.
I cried the day I moved out of the dorms. It was awful. I didn't wanna leave.

And I can understand your whole situation about going back to live with your mom, dusty. I really had no place to go when I moved out of the dorms, so I had to move around a lot last summer from my mom's, to my brother's, to my sister's, to friends' houses, to my boyfriend's house. And at each place I felt like I didn't belong there. It's the worst feeling.

But then once school started again, and I moved into my apartment, everything was better. Now it's the end of the second year of college, and I don't really know my exact plans. But for sure, I am NOT moving back home.
