I work at a really big independently owned music store. Instead of a Christmas thing they have a big company picnic in the summer on some farm out in the country. It's actually pretty cool. They set up a drum kit and amps and whatever and people will just all jam and dance and get drunk. The food is really good too. You can bring whoever you want and it's all free.

Ours was a week and a half ago at a nice hall on the waterfront. There were fireworks at the beginning of the night, lots of food and lots of free booze, a really lame DJ, and OMG BOOZE. We were allowed to bring dates this year, so that was nice.

We have a second, smaller office party in January for just our department, which usually involves a tapas bar and a shitload of tequila. Meh, as long as the company's paying, I don't care.

my office is having brunch today, and they expect everyone to show up in weather that feels like it's below - 25 degrees.

We are supposed to have an in-office one on Wednesday but I'm not sure about going out for one. Last year they did but forgot to get somebody to cover for me so I could not go. I have yet to hear a date for that one this year though.

We don't exactly know where it will be until we recieve our plane tickets, but we are pretty sure it will take place in Stuttgart, Germany.
From what I've heard it's always fun, so I'm kinda looking forward to it. Plus, two days getting drunk and paid for it, too.

My company is having their annual xmas party this Friday...and everyone is assuming that this will be the MOMENT when they introduce us, the staff, to the new company owners...b/c as of now everything is completely hush hush, and we have no idea who or what is really going to take over our company. But I'm not going to the party, my friends bday party is the same day. =P

i don't think my 9-5 job is having one because there are only 5 of us here and they probs assume we're all sick of each other. they may just give us a bonus or something.

my other job is having one. it's on december 4th but not sure where. too bad i don't talk to anyone. just this girl named taylor but i never get a chance to see her for more than five minutes at a time. yesterday i think i freaked her out with how excited i was to see her, but she was just arriving as i was leaving. :[ so anyway, i may or may not go, depending on where it is. december 4th is a sunday, though, and i have to wake up at 6am monday morning. i dunno. forget it.

god, i hope we don't have one this year... it's a waste of time and i generally just don't enjoy talking to the people i work with any more than is absolutely necessary. and now that i'm running a department, i would be obligated to go and mingle. ugh.

i'd rather have the money than eat another meal with people I sit with all day long.
