IMO he doesn't expect to win or intend to try to win the nomination. He makes his living selling his books, motivational speaches and appearing at right wing gatherings. Not unlike other conservativs like Sarah Palin, Newt, Pat Buchanon, etc. he's screwing around in the primary as a way to boost his "brand".

Once it's over he'll negotiate a contract with Fox for a TV show.

no, he was the head of the national restaurant association, a massive lobbying group with plenty of money.

it is not unheard of or even that strange for groups with enough money to settle out of court in order to avoid a full lawsuit. it doesn't mean he's guilty.

Bachmann and Perry are attacking Romney, as they should be. This just smells like something a politician who is trying to kill off a climber to his perch would do.

Wright was a known issue back in '07, Obama asked him not be a part of his springfield coming out party. Now what you can say is that Penn brought up pushing the issue. Sure, clearly he did, and I'm sure they did. But thats not what you were claiming, now is it?
