falling asleep at the movies!

so we took my mil out for dinner & a movie as a late bday present. we saw moneyball. one of the best movie theater naps i've had in awhile.

it's only happened to me a few times; the last time was iron man. my mom and i actually both slept through that one. i've also nodded off during some jeff buckley documentary and the matrix. the matrix is like ambien for me, as i tried watching the dvd a couple times since the theater and fell asleep both times!

which movies have y'all paid $12 only to sleep through at the movie theater?

My mom and I slept through most of the second lord of the rings. it was that boring. I also slept through 90% of The Invention of Lying. but i was working two jobs at the time.

I think I've only fallen asleep at the movies once. However, I'm aboslutely mortified of falling asleep in public because I used to do really weird shit in my sleep.

lion king 3D. it started at 9:30pm and i woke up at 12:51am to an empty theater. even all the employees had gone! wtf.

never saw it, but i'm surprised i stayed awake during part one. borrrrring.

anyway, i thought of another theater sleep - life aquatic with steve zissou. i saw it with sean casey new years day 2005.

In a twist of events I once got so drunk with a friend of mine that he went back home early, when I got back, I somehow made a status update on Facebook, fell asleep on the floor, got up and sat down on the couch (sleepwalking, I presume) in the lounge, when I woke up I was watching Iron Man 2. My friend confirmed to me that I did that by myself.

I slept through most of The Two Towers at a LotR triple feature when part three came out.
And I fell asleep a few minutes into Phone Booth, but that movie was boring anyway.

I almost nodded off during the midnight opening of Watchmen.

A guy sitting behind me during 2012 was sawing logs like you wouldn't believe. That movie is LOUD, and he was louder than anything in that movie. It was funny.
