My friend alec's dad was this big jewish meat salesman who's wardrobe consisted solely of combat fatigues. He had a big 70's moustache. The side of his van said "NO ONE BEATS MY MEAT"

He would always call Alec and say "ALEC I LOVE YOU. JUST KIDDING"

Garcia was awesome in the late 80s and 90s. Black Rain, Things To Do In Denver..., Night Falls On Manhattan

Of course Baldwin was in The Edge, The Cooler and The Departed. He's not as consistent as Garcia but he's been in some great stuff.

I didn't find anything awful about the Edge. The scenes with the bear were fucking awesome.

let me put it this way... it's not so much that I dislike him as I am indifferent to him and don't understand the universal praise he garners. I don't watch 30 rock and I've only seen him in the departed and that movie where anthony hopkins kills a bear

I think the praise is because he seems to have made a complete successful shift from drama to comedy which a lot of actors have a hard time doing.

Andy Garcia is a fine actor but Alec Baldwin is a national treasure. His career has progressed with much the same irony as William Shatner; classic leading man looks at an early age that withers away over time, yet are even cooler in many ways with the Q rating to prove it.
