I didn't hear the Beatles at all until I was in my teens. I grew up listening to other 20th century music like Shostakovich, Mahler, Bartok, Scriabin. I started classical training in piano at 7 so by the time I heard the Beatlesfor the first time I was learning Beethoven sonatas. If you have put in hours of your life at a young age, to learn complicated musical pieces, and grew up only listening to quartets and symphonies and concertos, I'm sorry to say that the Beatles sound kinds puerile. I mean maybe that's what you guys like about them. I definitely have a soul. I just don't like the Beatles. But whatever.

It's cool. Just giving you a hard time.

How did you end up liking the pumpkins then?

I was 13 in 1993 and the pumpkins were huge then, and for most of my high school years...and I had a crush on Billy. I went through some hard times as a teenager and as a girl I guess I pinned a lot of hope on Billy and his music as a sort of hero/saviour figure. It was really unhealthy but listening to him sing about all his messed up feelings made me feel less alone I guess. I can't listen to any of that old stuff any more because it brings back too many memories. I didn't like anything from Adore onwards though...by that stage I'd sort of moved on into jazz and other stuff.

You name yourself after a fruit and reply with gifs and one liners. How cryptic. You're like a villain from that old Batman show. Is that what you're going for?

cmon, you don't like anything by the beatles?

i don't honestly see how someone could listen to any popular music and not like at least something by them, unless they're only into rap or techno or something.

mcis is pretty much the pumpkins' white album btw

i vote for the National Anthem. It's the best expression of post industrial first world loneliness and alienation out of all of their expressions of post industrial first world loneliness and alienation. EVERYONE IS SO NEAR. I'M SO ALONE.

eulogy is the only person who mentioned it

for shame all of you so called "fans"

shut the fuck up you suck and no you don't have a soul, being classicly trained as a child is practically proof positive of that. music is mechanical to you at this point so eat shit

radiohead would be nothing without the beatles, listen to revolver while you fuck yourself plz
