Well Troy's a suburb of Albany, duh.. It'd be like saying I'm not moving to Addisson because my girlfriend lives downtown.

Albany's a shitty town that's pretty much all state jobs for a state that's nearly bankrupt, aim for the n/w burbs or up to Saratoga. It has a ton of seasonal work, and you could even aim for lake Placid in winter for seasonal stuff at first.

And follow Barden's advice on saying you'll be there on a specific date. Know though you'll have to be there for interviews.

What makes it even worse is it should get hammered with good snowstorms, but ends up becoming a rain shield. So you get shitty winter weather and not as much good to show for it but rain puddles that freeze overnight.

Yeah I've only been there a couple times to visit a friend, but it seemed like a miserable place to live. Food was terrible too.
