When I used to live in New York, there was this video arcade that used to would take the old machines, rig them so you wouldn't have to pay to play them and could get unlimited continues, and put them in a back room where they would hold birthday parties. I definitely remember one time when I was about eight, three of my friends and I just sat there for a long time, eventually giving up at around level 18 when we got bored. You were extremely complex at the time, full of magic, intrigue and levels comprised entirely of exits. In summation: an instant and enduring classic.

Nah, first console I had was a SNES. Although I remember the time my Dad borrowed a 2600, I thought I was in the ARCADE. And games on cartridges? Get out of town! I was used to loading things from audio cassette. Or even better, back in the day when magazines had program listings you actually had to type in yourself. Not quite DVD there
