Default Which birth control pill are you on?

...And what kind of side-effects (good or bad) have you experienced?

Right now I'm on Mircette. I haven't really experienced any side-effects, but I'm thinking about switching pills. I need a stronger one.

just switched from ortho-tri to ortho-tri lo - no side effects from either.

not like that will help you in any way whatsoever, considering BC effects everyone completely differently.

Ortho-Tricyclen Lo. No side-effects other than losing some weight. I had horrible problems with Mircette.

my current g/f is on othro-trideathlene, which has worked for her so far...she definitely has been starting her periods MORE irregularly since she started taking them last year (weird huh?)

Right now - nada. Before I was on the ortho evra patch, which was convenient, but a little annoying and did nothing to prevent cramps / heavy flow. Before that I was on ortho tri cyclin... which is what I plan on going back to once I quit procrastinating going to the doctor.

But yeah, the ortho tri cyclin gets a thumbs up from me. No horrible cramps, headaches, etc.

no, but I don't know if I could do that. The nicotine patch is hard enough to wear. So itchy.

Hmm, has anyone ever switched to the generic equivalent of whatever name brand pill you're taking and had any problems? I went to the doctor today and she told me that some people don't do well on the generic stuff, even though it's supposed to be the exact same thing as the name brand pill.

I did. I was worried at first because the pills were bigger, but it was exactly the same.

I'm on Ortho-Cyclen right now, so far so good, I haven't been knocked up yet!
I used to be on Alesse, and it totally fucked me up. I would get 2 week long periods randomly. :erm

I'm on Lo-Ovral, I don't know anyone else that is. But they're great, because I can take all the white ones, skip the pink ones, and not have a period for months with no problem. Aaaaah.

Alesse gave me 2 week long periods too. And baaaad mood swings. Eew.

I was first on Mircette and then on Ortho-Cyclen and now I'm on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen. Is Orth-Tri-Cyclen-Lo any less effective? Not that it matters because I'm on birth control to regulate and decrease my flow, but it's still good to know.
