My breasts used to swell and get tender before every cycle, but now it only happens occasionally. I've never had the erect nipple problem though... :erm Never heard of it, in fact.

I really don't know, though I could ask. The breasts and vagina are connected in so many ways because of breast-feeding. (For example: Did you know that breast-feeding makes your uterus expand and contract, helping it get back in shape after childbirth? That's something I recently learned.) I don't know the specifics, but I'm sure that's the general idea.

How to help it? Take some Midol and wear a bra with some goodass support, hun. *shrugs* I know it sucks. I always had to jog in gym class when my jugs were swollen.

I don't know what you can do about it, exactly... I usually wear a more comfortable bra at that time, but the pain is because of a substance that gets released in your breast tissue right before your period. Here's a useful ( I hope) link:
