Is anyone else upset that The Town wasn't nominated for Best Picture?

I'm happy that it at least got a nomination but I can't understand why it didn't receive a Best Picture nomination. There are a lot more movies in the Best Picture category then there were in past years so I figure it would at least have something a chance.

i "don't give a shit" about the oscars but enjoy the spectacle and the upsets. i mostly hope natalie portman doesn't win because a) her bitchface would be EPIC b) annette bening actually played a lesbian in her movie, not just some gratuitous scene c) people who "care" about the oscars will counter "but she got an OSCAR!!!" like it actually means something when i get in a heated "natalie portman is a horrible actress" debate with someone

come to think of it, if christian bale doesn't win best supporting his bitchface may be even better than portman's potential.

deserves: i'm going with amy adams on this one. one of the few actually talented ones of "boring young hollywood."

samesies for toy story 3

fincher will win

best picture:
going to be the king's speech. i don't have a "deserves" cuz blue valentine was my favorite movie of the ones released in this past period.

Bale deserves to win it for sure. The films I've seen from this years nominations are Inception, The Fighter, True Grit and the Town.

i JUST saw the town (rented) and went to the theaters and saw black swan... I've been so busy planning my aus trip I fell out of touch with the entertainment world. Oh and I saw social network on the plane ride back to America. It was fine but nothing that deserves any merit for anything.
