I'm trying to talk to a girl who isn't right for me at all

I met her last summer working summer school. Ran into her a few months later at Special Olympics. We hit it off. I later find out she not only has sickle-cell but has three kids and is taking care of her mentally ill mother. She is always sick. I have only gone out with her once since getting her phone number in October.

I really don't know what to do. I like her a lot but how would I cope if things ever got serious?
