Yeah, kind of looks like Halo 2... So make that 5-6 years.

At least some sucker picked up the pieces and threw cash at it so it'd make it to production.

Last I knew, 3D Realms was using a proprietary game engine based partly on Unreal Engine 2.0 for DNF. In comparison, Bioshock, which was released not quite four years ago, used Unreal Engine 2.5. Might explain why the visuals looks a bit iffy.

My friend said that this game looks like a PS2 game...I don't think it looks THAT bad, but the quality is definitely inconsistent. Graphics aren't everything though, and the people who have played parts of it have said that it was a blast, so I've got faith.
