Right on about being "benignly crazy" like John Frusciante. You can believe in weird shit and not be an ass. The fact is that if Billy didn't act like a self-involved ass and at least lived what he preached (not to mention just being a talented fucking guitarist and songwriter without pretense) I doubt the criticism would be as intense.
BTW, which one is it that does the furniture woodworking now...is that Dale Meiner or Ron Roesing? Ron would probably replace Mikey as drummer in a second (if Billy were to allow it)...I don't think he ever quite got over Billy dropping him from his creative venture. Really, I think SP would rock again if the band were Billy + Jeff + Ron + Dale. At least they'd probably go back to making more genuinely interesting music. I am dreaming, of course... right. I don't normally comment in the band/billy forum because I have a personal experience with the man as he antagonized me to do music. Some crazy cowardly rhyme and riddle bullshit that to this day I consider Billy the ultimate coward as a result.
However, maybe I'm the coward not revealing the story. The story which very much centers on these vibrational theories that I have experience with and which I could explain but when I see such ignorance about the subject from fans (netphorians anyway) who I would otherwise probably get along with just fine... except for the fact that so many so willingly choose ignorance over knowledge. Am I right to assume that attitude reflects the world at large? Probably...but whatever, I can live with it. It's just this thread for whatever reason ripped right into me today...thanks Netphoria. If Omega Concern isn't a troll, he must have the need to feel very special and superior without putting in all the effort. Kind of like teens who get drawn into practicing "majick" as a shortcut to gaining the patience and genuine intellectual prowess necessary to understand how one could actually could manipulate particles on a subatomic level. Oppenheimer didn't build the fucking atomic bomb through connecting with the vibrational frequencies of the world to make things happen. People like him and Billy would get pwned should they ever attempt to discuss actual physics, chemistry, etc. with a real scientist. They couldn't possibly decipher the "proof" necessary to back up any of Dean Radin's theories on a subject such as "entangled minds", because frankly the likes of Hawking haven't even gotten to that point of understanding yet.

but there's something to be said for sound's effect on matter and how it affects people physiologically, neurologically, etc. that link was kind of stupid, though. |
