For now. We're down to 5 people at work, they fired just about everybody today. I've stopped feeling guilty and have prepared to get laid off myself, besides, unemployment for the people who got fired a few weeks ago is reportedly as much as they made working here.

Job suggestions?

Fuck this. Jobs in San Diego are fucking bare.

And I wasn't complaining, and I have every right to be mad. I'm good friends with all of my coworkers, they're like family to me...since I don't really have any to speak of. And working in a job where you're in fear constantly of doing something wrong is worse than no job. So. Yeah.

so i sat down and watched the news with my mother this evening. keep in mind, it's the local news, so naturally they had coverage on sammy sosa's bat for half an hour before they got to any other stories....so, my point is that there are 9 million people in the country that are without work. and this is based on reported data, surely it's safe to assume there are another 5 million unemployed fuckers roaming around.

i think everyone is in fear of being unemployed all the time. even when you have a job. i've had problems with unemployment off and on the past 4 years. it's bad out there. but any job i've gotten, the thrill of getting a new job, it's always in the back of my head that it won't last forever. unless you're in the armed forces, it seems, you're eventually going to lose the job you have.

But in all of the jobs I have ever worked in...they've just been shit jobs, where I was high on the totem pole and nothing was geared toward the "corporate" thinking level. You got fired if you were late all the time, fucked off, whatever. I've never been fired. So I'm just afraid of what could happen, thats all.

And I have sympathy for all those unemployed, you can cut the guilt trips, people. I'm sure I'll be joining you in a matter of time.
