Yeah. It's ridiculous. If you fail your exams here, you get a second chance to take them later in the summer.

Everybody whines about how they're going to fail, and they'll have to come back and try again in August. Aww.

Then again, since your exam score is pretty much your entire grade, it kind of makes sense.

Of course, the penalty if you fail your exams is that you have to retake the year and - god forbid - this time around, you have to PAY for it!

Where are you ? we played trinity at hurling/shinty once a year its great just a four day bender

and na i did equally as little for all my exams, so i guess.

And i go to a University in my own country should i not get to go for free or pay less than all the english who are here ?

Hiya, I'm Rebecca. I'm at Trinity, but just for the one year. Doing a study abroad thing. In fact...Friday'll be my last day, since that's my last exam.

Well, I mean, not about exams being over. (More like, Thank Fucking God, FINALLY.) But about having to go back to America in three weeks.

And nah, you shouldn't have to pay. Nobody should have to pay. I think the free education system is great. But we haven't got it in America - so we like to give the Irish kids crap, 'cause while they'll all out there staging Fees Protests over the indignity of possibly having to pay 3000 Euros a year for school...We're sitting here like, "Are you kidding? Do you know what we'd do to ONLY have to pay $3000 a year for college?? "

I've heard of Hurling...What's Shinty? Just a different name for it, or is it a different sport?
