Glenn Miller is using racist radio ads to try and get a seat in the United States Senate.

The 69-year-old—who founded the White Patriot Party in 1980—paid to run racist and anti-Semetic spots on Newsradio 980 KMBZ in Kansas City, Missouri.

The station is required by law to run political advertising campaigns and isn’t allowed to refuse or edit the clips. However, it can (and has) put an unbiased disclaimer before and after the ads.

Miller’s commercials contain racial slurs toward minorities and urge white listeners “take their country back” from the Jewish community.

Jews control the federal government and the media,” said Miller in one of his ads. “Surely you don't still believe white men are in control, do ya? It's the Jews, stupid.

Neil Larrimore, the program director of KMBZ, said Miller has paid for airtime on another local radio station in Missouri.

According to the Federal Communications Commission, “legally qualified” candidates are entitled to reasonable, uncensored airtime if they can afford it. Despite his hate speech, Miller has filled out all the necessary paperwork as a write-in candidate for the 2010 Senate.

A write-in candidate is one who doesn’t appear on the ballot, so voters must write his or her name on the ticket to vote for that person.

Glenn Miller’s Political Career

Miller has been associated with such white supremacist groups as the Ku Klux Klan, the Christian Identity and the Order. His White Patriot Party was shut down after accepting over $200,000 in stolen money from the Order and planning to assassinate Morris Dees, the co-founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center, which brought on investigations of the WPP.

In 2006, Miller ran for election into the House of Representatives. Of the 241,123 total ballots cast, he got 23 votes.
