Pizza Hut doesn't have a deep dish variety, as far as I know.

Get a pizza at Giordano's. I liked it better than Duo or Lou Malnat's.

Not all stuffed/deep dish Chicago varieties have chunks of tomato in the sauce.

A buddy at my former employer ordered it all the time. Maybe it varies by region or whatever.

I had my first taste of Pizza Hut's "Chicago Dish" over the weekend, but before I give my impression, I should explain to the less fortunate (i.e., those who have never sampled the Real Thing) just what Chicago-style pizza is. Obviously, it's baked in a deep pan, which means that the outer crust is one to two inches tall, depending on the restaurant. The bottom crust is perhaps only a quarter-inch thick and lies under an absurd amount of cheese, mixed with your choice of toppings, which is topped by more cheese. On the very top, in a break from the traditional style, you have the marinara tomato sauce. In a variation known as "Stuffed" deep dish pizza, another thin layer of crust lies on top of the cheese, again with the sauce on top. At the very apex of all pizzas, in my opinion, is the stuffed pizza from Giordano's Restaurants in the Chicago area. Pizza Hut's creation is more akin to the deep dish style of Lou Malnatti's or Pizzeria Uno, both famous Windy City institutions, the latter being the birthplace of the Chicago style.
mhmm

It's not on their website. And I've never seen it. But I'm sure it sucked when it was around.

Although

I am not above gorging myself on a pepperoni pan pizza from there every once in a while. But I am a disgusting human being in many ways.

Where's a good place to see that so-called "Chicago Blues"? Not shit blues, mind you, but real blues.

Gino's East pizza saved my life after drinking way too much Old Style beer at Wrigley Field. I have made it my life's work to murder the owner and proprietor of the Old Style brewery but oh man was that pizza fucking good.

Well, I'm no Chicagoan, but I have spent some time there. I love the Adler Planetarium, and they make a mean cocktail at The Violet Hour in Wiker Park. One of the best bars drinkwise I've ever been to, and I've been to ALOT of bars.

Also on of my fav things to do is to go to The Signature Lounge at the top of the Hancock Tower, have a glass of champagne and just look at the amazing view. Yeah, it's touristy, but I don't care.

I'm going to Chicago at the end of May, and I can't wait to come back! Hurrah!
